Flutter Team Announces Global 2026 Tour to Accelerate Developer Engagement
April 14, 2026 — The Flutter team at Google today unveiled a sprawling global tour spanning nine months and more than 20 events, aiming to directly engage with the community ahead of major releases.
The initiative kicks off at Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas on April 22, with stops including I/O events, Flutter-focused conferences, and developer meetups across North America, Europe, and Asia. The tour is designed to gather direct feedback as the team prepares to ship Dart 3.12 and Flutter 3.44 later this year.
Background
Flutter, Google’s open-source UI toolkit, powers hundreds of thousands of applications globally. The team has traditionally relied on digital channels, but this tour represents its most ambitious in-person outreach effort to date.
The tour includes more than two dozen official events — from major conferences like Google I/O and Config to regional gatherings in Sweden, Mexico, Japan, and India. A full list is available on the Flutter Events page.
What This Means
“This is about closing the loop between our roadmap and the people who build with Flutter every day,” said Jamie L., a senior product manager on the Flutter team, in a prepared statement. “These conversations shape how we prioritize features for performance, full-stack development, and ephemeral experiences.”
Developers attending events can expect live demos, direct Q&A sessions with core engineers, and previews of upcoming APIs. The tour also aims to strengthen partnerships with enterprise teams and third-party tool makers.

How to Engage
“Community-led events are where the most impactful moments happen,” said Maria K., head of Flutter developer relations. “We want to meet builders face-to-face, hear their pain points, and celebrate their wins.”
Developers can also join Flutteristas, the Google Developer Experts program, or local Google Developer Groups to stay connected year-round.
